Two elderly gentlemen overhead at Sears – one the customer, one the clerk:
Clerk: “Would you like a gift receipt with that in case she doesn’t like it?”
Customer: “What’s not to like?”
Clerk: “Well, I have learned that my wife is very opinionated and her thoughts are what usually drive my actions.”
Customer: “Nah, the last fight I had with my wife, she came crawling after me.”
Clerk: “Oh?”
Customer: “Yeah, she was yelling ‘Get out from under that bed you lousy coward!’”
Both chuckled then parted ways. Old people rock!

Put Him On Jenny Craig!
So I hear that Australia has banned the use of 'Ho Ho Ho' from its Santas stating that it scares small children and the word 'ho' is derogatory to women. Instead, Santas have been asked to say 'Ha Ha Ha.' I am guessing that a 300+ pound guy in a big red, furry suit is the scary part, not necessarily what he says. And when did we begin to equate laughter and jocularity with demeaning women? Sorry, but a 'Ho' is a prostitute/easy woman, 'Ho Ho' is a snack cake, and 'Ho Ho Ho' is what Santa is suppose to say. Don't mess with tradition because you think someone would better appreciate the political correctness of it. Really, this world is becoming so cravingly politically correct that we wouldn't know a good time if it sat on our face.

Curtain Call
Back to the daily grind after a few days in New York. A great time, as always. I was up for a
meeting with the AICPA. During some free time I was able to catch a performance of Young Frankenstein: The Musical. Sheer brilliance! The show was huge in scale, and hilarious in content! After the show was over I was able to grab an autograph of Schuler Hensley (the Monster) and Andrea Martin (Frau Blucher).
I also saw The Ritz and Wintuk while in town. Both were enjoyable, though not sure I would highly recommend them to anyone. No regrets, though.
..and then the Great White Way went dark. Saturday morning saw the beginnin
g of a stage hand union strike. Ironically, the first show to close due to the strike was How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Each theater sported a closed sign, a row of picketing union members, about five NYPD officers, and a gaggle of blue-haired, raging ticket holders. I think the police were probably present to protect the picketers from the pissed off women who missed their show.
